- This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE of a proposed requirement to award one (1) MAGPIX XPonent 4.2 or equal instrument system. This action also requires shipping and all necessary items to immediately start processing. # Description Est. Qty. Unit 1 LUMINEX CORPORATION MAGPIX XPONENT 4.2 (OR EQUAL) SYSTEM. THE SYSTEM SHALL INCLUDE ONE 25 DOSE CALIBRATION KIT, ONE DRIVE FLUID 4 PACK AND ANY SOFTWARE OR OTHER ACCESSORIES. SHIPPING (FOB destination) SHALL ALSO BE INCLUDED IN THIS PRICE. 1 EA Salient Characteristics Multiplexing Instrument One (1) Luminex Magpix xPonent 4.2 (or equal) multiplexing instrument to perform electrochemiluminescence immunoassays in microtiter assay plates. The instrument shall perform multiple simultaneous tests on a single sample. The instrument shall be capable of performing assays on a wide variety of sample types of different species. Instrument is a benchtop platform equipped with state-of-the-art optics and image analysis software for rapid assessment of magnetic microspheres in suspension. The assays shall allow for multiplexed analysis from various sample types that include analysis for protein, RNA and DNA. The device technology shall process a broad range of biological samples (neurons, myocardiocytes, immune cells and serum). Shall provide for expression for up to 50 different gene targets. Shall provide a gene expression profile and protein expression profile for the same proteins and corresponding RNA transcripts. Shall process samples from FFPE, blood, cells and tissues for RNA analysis. Shall provide Plex-Plex analysis for DNA and or protein analysis. Plex-Plex analysis allows different sets of assays to be mixed together allowing for quicker and faster read times versus conventional processing of the microsphere assay. Easy to use software interface and a simplified workflow. The system shall provide rapid (less than 5 hours) measurement of multiple proteins (up to 50 analytes) in a single reaction. Standard industry warranty. Dedicated Accessories: The device package includes the following dedicated accessories: Calibration and drive fluid kits. A dedicated PC MS-Window based computer. Dedicated software (xPONENTR or equal) that will be used to run assays, analyze data and run real time data reports. Reagents (20 plex mouse cytokine assay) need for training research personnel are also included free of charge with purchase of the instrument. Also a magnetic plate needed for assay preparation.
