- Bioanalytical and Proteomic Laboratory Equipment Assurance Plan The purpose of this requirement is to procure assurance plans for the equipment used for bioanalytical and proteomic assays. There are many bioanalytical and proteomic assays that are dependent on the proper functioning of the instruments. The LCI group requires the use of these instruments to do bioanalytical and proteomic assays of human plasma samples in the lab - to maintain and prevent breakdowns. If it breaks down and is out of warranty, the cost of repairs would be very high and would require a significant downtime for repairs, which would hamper the research as the assays typically run on these instruments only.
