SOW Annual Leave Administration Instruction Two 4-hour Supervisor Training sessions at the St. Cloud VA HCS (or local off-site location) in March June 2017 on Leave Administration, that includes: Overview of Annual   Leave program for Title 5 and Title 38 Employees Overview of Absences for Part of a Day for Title 5 and Title 38 Employees Detailed review of Sick Leave, e.g. Basic Concepts Authorized Uses Presidential Memorandum Granting Sick Leave/Discretionary Sick Leave Sick Leave Abuse Substitution of Sick Leave under FMLA Leave Stacking Medical Documentation Employee relations options related to SL abuse Detailed review of FMLA, e.g. Entitlement Title I vs. Title II and appeal rights Family Member defined Notice requirements Serious Health Condition Medical and Employee certification/questions/2nd opinions Intermittent use of FMLA FMLA and employee relations, e.g. corrective actions and performance Training should be conducted during the 8-4:30 duty day on any day of the work week (Mon Fri). Presenter must have Federal HR Practitioner experience and evidence of staying current in the field. Evidence of experience presenting this information to Federal supervisory and HR staff. Presentation must include CFR references on information presented, key legal decisions, related workplace scenarios, opportunities for interaction. Tools and FAQs a plus. Provide advance PDF copies of materials (hard copies preferred).
