- The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Acquisition Division-Kansas City office intends to award, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Diamond Antenna and Microwave Corporations for Rotary Joint, Azimuth, 4 Channel repair services repair services for the NOAA National Weather Service, National Reconditioning Center located in Grandview, MO. A Sources Sought notice was posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on December 30, 2016 and closed on January 09, 2017. No responses were received. Justification for Sole Source Diamond Antenna and Microwave Corporation has been identified as the only known source that can provide the needed repair services as specified below that will also meet the Government’s intended use. This procurement is for repair services to the only known source of supply. The equipment manufacturer (Diamond Antenna and Microwave Corporation) holds all design patents, drawings, schematics and software and is considered intellectual property of the vendor and is proprietary. This procurement will provide logistical spares for these for the National Logistics Support Center’s (NLSC) National Reconditioning Center.
