- Subject: Sabina II Sit-To-Stand Lift` This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation/commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339112 (Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing) with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Hill-Rom is known to meet the Government's needs. The Government is requesting that responsible sources respond if it can provide a sit-to-stand patient lift with the following salient characteristics: Exchangeable sling bars (minimum 2 options to assist in active/passive lifting) Three lift features in one (sit to stand lift, lifting aid or traditional patient lift) Hand control with two speeds Removable footrest Power base Lifting range 67.9" to 31.5" Weight capacity 440lbs, passive lifting 330lbs Weight: 99lbs Battery operated Accessories must be available (wall mount charger, batteries, vests, extension loops at 5" and 9", heel supports, seat straps) Arms are height adjustable Mechanical and electrical emergency lowering device, emergency stop Minimum turning diameter 1180mm Back wheel brake lock This is not a Request for Quote or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs are required to be registered and verified in VIP (https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov) for consideration. Responses must be submitted by e-mail to Antanette.Shellaugh@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 3:00 pm Central Standard Time on Friday, January 13, 2017.
