- NRMM Distribution Agreement Instructions to Obtain a Copy of the NATO Reference Mobility Model, Version II Software The Government is making available the NATO Reference Mobility Model (NRMM). The NATO NRMM is a computer-based simulation tool that can predict a vehicle's steady-state operating capability over specified terrain. The NRMM was developed and proven by the Waterways Experiment Station (WES) and the Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) over several decades. The NRMM has been revised and updated throughout the years; the current version used to perform this analysis is version 2, also known as NRMM II. The NRMM II software is managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers - Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). NRMM is only releasable to Department of Defense (DoD) and DoD contractor personnel for approved purposes. Requestors must submit a distribution agreement to obtain access. The agreement covers various aspects of NRMM use and redistribution, which also provide insights on network security requirements for those who use it. It's not classified, but it is ITAR restricted. To obtain a copy of the NRMM II Software, please follow the instructions below. 1) Complete and sign the Requesting Organization information blocks on the top of page 4 of the NRMM Distribution Agreement and forward via email to usarmy.detroit.acc.mbx.fmtv-a2@mail.mil 2) If approved, the POC identified in the Distribution Agreement will receive an email from the US Army Corps of Engineers with instructions on how the software will be provided. 3) Questions regarding the process to obtain the NRMM II Software can be directed to the FMTV A2 mailbox at usarmy.detroit.acc.mbx.fmtv-a2@mail.mil.
