- Hanscom AFB SCIF RFI, same text as on FBO. Attached as resource. Hanscom AFB SCIF Request for Information Soliciation Number: FA283517RSCIF The U.S. Air Force, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Operational Contracting Unit (PZI) at Hanscom Air Force Base, is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) regarding the supply of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) to determine the interest, availability and capability of sources able to complete the effort below. This future requirement would use appropriated funds. Please note that this RFI does not constitute an awardable solicitation. In accordance with FAR 10.002(b), this RFI will be used for market research purposes. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a Request for Proposal (RFP)/ an announcement of a solicitation nor is it a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list. This project consists of the following components with related questions underneath. Requirement • SCIF, Retrofit Existing Space, approximately 1000 square feet 1. Approximate (budget) cost per square foot (Assume to a ceiling height of 10 feet) 2. Are there any special requirements to prepare the area to receive the SCIF? 3. What are the power requirements and how will power be connected? 4. Does the unit come with a fire suppression system? If so what are the connection requirements? 5. Does the unit come with a fire detection system? If so is it addressable or non-addressable? Can it be connected to the existing fire alarm panel? About how many points will be added to the system? 6. What are the HVAC requirements for the unit? 7. Does the unit comply with Intelligence Community Directive [ICD] 705 • SCIF, Modular (or ‘Trailer'), approximately 2050 square feet 1. Approximate (budget) cost per square foot (Assume to a ceiling height of 10 feet) 2. What are the power requirements and how will power be connected? 3. Does the unit come with a fire suppression system? If so what are the connection requirements? 4. Does the unit come with a fire detection system? If so is it addressable or non-addressable? Can the alarm panel be tied into a campus loop system? 5. What are the HVAC requirements for the unit? 6. What type of water service would be required to support the facility? 7. What are the structural requirements for the facility? (i.e. Piers or Slab on Grade) 8. Does the unit comply with Intelligence Community Directive [ICD] 705 Responses Interested firms should submit a capabilities package to include the following: • Company name • Point of Contact Name and Number • Business Status (i.e. SDB, 8(a), Women Owned, Service Disabled Vet-Owned, Hubzone) • Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code • Questions and comments on the required work o Are these requirements feasibly fulfilled by a single primary contractor? There will be an opportunity for a site visit when a solicitation is posted to FBO. Responses are due no later than January 25, 2017 by 1500 (3:00 pm) EST. Responses should be emailed to Janeyra Salgado at janeyra.salgado@us.af.mil or SSgt Christian Salinas at christian.salinas@us.af.mil. Responses are limited to five pages. All e-mails should be less than five (5) megabytes. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this market survey nor return the data provided. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a solicitation. The Government is in no way obligated to do business with or to enter into any form of contract with any person, firm or other entity that receives or responds to this announcement.
