- The intent of this Solicitation and any resultant Contract is to obtain one (1) Type III (Light) Helicopter fully operated by qualified and proficient personnel and equipped to meet specifications contained in the Solicitation for operation at the host base, and during the periods indicated therein to be used in the administration and protection of Public Lands. During the Mandatory Availability Period the helicopter shall be made available for the exclusive use of the US Forest Service, Law Enforcement & Investigation to be utilized for outdoor marijuana eradication, investigations, reclamation, medical extractions/transport, and rescue operations in support of the USFS, LE&I program. Proposed helicopters must meet or exceed the minimum performance requirements identified in the Solicitation and will be evaluated for overall best value considering price and other factors. The Government intends to award a single contract based on the outcome of the evaluation process. The awarded Fixed Price-Economic Price Adjustment contract will be for one (1) base year and up to three (3) option periods. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
