Description
NOTE: Quotes must be submitted through the Avue application system, via either the following web address: https://www.avuecentral.com/vacancy.html?ref=MMFEL, or through the Peace Corps website, under Agency Jobs and Info / Contracts / Training Contract Opportunities. Peace Corps is soliciting proposals for a TEFL Technical Trainer to design, plan, and conduct a Training of Trainers in Tonga. The contractor will work closely with post training staff to align training objectives and design with the TECEP plan and Post’s training continuum. She/he will then work with Tongan staff to design, coordinate, implement and evaluate a professional training sequence of integrated learning activities designed to develop skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for PST Technical trainers and select PCVs to effectively teach volunteers to teach English with a focus on teaching in secondary and tertiary institutes. S/he mentors and assists the relevant Program and Training staff to develop skills necessary to serve as lead technical trainer during subsequent PST. S/he provides professional guidance, ensures quality technical training, and gives suggestions for integrating the technical component with other PST components, and thoroughly assesses and documents the training. She/he also delivers replicable material resources for Volunteers and staff to use during PST and beyond and makes suggestions for a successful PST hands-on teaching practicum. Period of performance will cover approximately 14 work days in the latter half of September, 2009. Only proposals that have been submitted through the above referenced Avue website will be considered.
