- Maintenance TITLE: Sources Sought Notice FDA SS-1177050 This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the availability of potential small businesses (e.g., 8(a), service-disabled veteran owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, veteran-owned small business, and women-owned small business) in accordance with FAR 7.104(d). The potential small business will need to demonstrate the capability to perform all facets of the work described below. The sole intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain capabilities for set-aside and procurement planning purposes. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a small business size standard of 20.5 millions of dollars. This is not an invitation for bid, request for proposal, or other solicitation, and in no way obligates the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to award a contract. BACKGROUND: The Food and Drug Administration's Office of Acquisitions and Grants Services have a requirement for service maintenance agreement on a High Performance Liquid Chromatography(HPLCs) base year plus 2 options years. The HPLCs is used to analyze samples of Color Additives (synthetic dyes) that are used in foods, drugs, and cosmetics. Among the materials analyzed for are subsidiary colors, intermediates, and contaminants. Description of Work The Contractor will provide same day telephone support, and when needed next work day on site service on all the equipment specified on the contract. Repair parts are to be provided at no cost and will be covered under the contract for future replacement if necessary. Repair parts must be genuine Waters equipment and be installed within 2 days of the service visit. All technicians both service and phone support must be Waters certified. In addition the contractor must supply all Empower software upgrades as they come available from Waters this includes server software together with software for stand alone workstations.
