Description
AMENDMENT NOTICE: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number is 0010958171 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-93. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 337110 with a small business size standard of 500.00 employees. This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2017-01-26 12:30:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com. FOB Destination shall be Fort Lee, VA 23801 The MICC Fort Lee requires the following items, Meet or Exceed, to the following: LI 001: Freestanding Table Case w/Large Glass Hood (Dimensions: 60  L x 30 W x 40  H, Base: 30  (Glass Hood: 12  high. 8mm opti-white, laminated glass (uv filtering/security glass) with pneumatic assist hinged glass hood, access via concealed hinges and pressurized springs. 2 concealed locking devices. Interior to include fabric wrapped or painted MDF deck with desiccant storage space below. Minimum space for the desiccant storage must be 24  x 12 . Steel legged base with powder coated finish (RAL) and equipped with adjustable floor levelers., 4, EA; LI 002: Wall Cases with LED Lighting (Dimensions: 48  L x 30  W x 82  H, Base: 30 , Glass Height: 52 . Primary Modifications/Clarifications: Four (4) - sided glass construction with two (2) removable back panels. The manufacture of these free-standing wall cases must use low-iron, 8mm opti-white laminated glass (UV filtering/security glass). Glass vitrines must include all glass-to-glass detail, without vertical frames or mullions for optimum viewing. Must have single hinged door, mitered glass edge detailing, high-security locks concealed within bottom glass extrusion. Vertical edges must be ground and polished; cut at a 45 ° angle, and joined together using an inert silicone adhesive (translucent silicon ¦ not black). Upper lighting attic with separate access and (12) focusable LED lights. Base at 6  high with adjustable floor levelers. Furniture grade painted finishes (color TBD according to RAL) and must include levelers to meet uneven floor conditions. Display cases must be sealed (micro-climate capable) with desiccant storage area available under the interior deck (vented properly to allow for passive approach to controlling the Relative Humidity (RH) within the display space, accessible from inside the case by lifting up the deck. Minimum space for the dessicant storage must be 24  x 12 . LED Lighting System with Removable Light Attic: Each display case must include at least 12 Focusable & Adjustable LED fixtures with dimmer(s) capability. Access to lighting system, power, fixtures, etc. must be from above (outside display space) and fixtures MUST be sealed from the display space. Metal light attic should be engineered to be removable for future lighting adjustments and modifications. All exposed metal and LED fixtures to be powdercoated BLACK (RAL 9005). LED Fixture Product / Specification sheet must be submitted with all bids. Adjustable Glass Shelves: Each display case must include adjustable glass shelf system. Minimum requirement: 4 glass shelves, each approximately 26 deep x 21 wide to include required hanging hardware (shelf supports, cable &/or rods, etc.). Must be adjustable and removable., 3, EA; LI 003: Pedestal Cases with hinged glass door panel (Dimensions: 27  L x 27 W x 72  H, Base: 30 , Glass Height: 42 ) with 6  interior plinth with 4-sides angled to accommodate labels (removable). Primary Clarification for Pedestal Cases: Access to display must have a hinged glass door (lift-off vitrines are not an option due to their weight). The manufacture of these freestanding pedestal cases must use low-iron, clear white laminated glass (safety glass/UV filtering). Glass vitrines must include all glass-to-glass detail, without vertical frames or mullions for optimum viewing. Vertical edges must be ground and polished; cut at a 45 ° angle, and joined together using an inert silicone adhesive (translucent silicon ¦ not black). 3 fixed sides and 1 operable (hinged) glass door panel with concealed hinges required (no butt joints accepted in corners). Secure access is gained by unlocking the hinged door to the panel, allowing operable glazed panel to open in a slightly greater than 90-degrees allowing full (100%) access to the display space. Bottom metal rails (supporting the glass) to include powder coated finish & concealed locks. The glazing elements should include specially designed hinges that enable convenient access by one museum staff member without assistance or the need for special tools or devices. Due to the weight of the glass, no lift-off vitrines will be accepted. Flush style pedestal bases with 4  high toe kick to include cabinet door with concealed hinges and magnetic catches (no visible hardware accepted). Furniture grade painted finishes (color TBD according to RAL) and must include levelers to meet uneven floor conditions. Display cases must include a stainless steel desiccant drawer positioned under the deck (gasketed) with separate access from base cabinet. Minimum space for the dessicant storage must be 18  x 12 . Each display case must include one (1) flat deck as well as one (1) removable angled plinth with label rails (approximate 6  high). For this purpose, a plinth is an elevated base with an angle on four sides for labels. Both to include painted finish and constructed using conservation approved materials. Final details to be included on approved shop drawing., 4, EA; LI 004: Wall Cases (Dimensions: 48  L x 30  W x 82  H, Base: 30 , Glass Height: 52 . Primary Modifications/Clarifications: Five (5) -- sided glass construction with glass top The manufacture of these free-standing wall cases must use low-iron, 8mm opti-white laminated glass (UV filtering/security glass). Glass vitrines must include all glass-to-glass detail, without vertical frames or mullions for optimum viewing. Must have single hinged door, mitered glass edge detailing, high-security locks concealed within bottom glass extrusion. Upper glass to include perimeter extrusion to support removable back panel and adjustable glass shelving system. Vertical edges must be ground and polished; cut at a 45 ° angle, and joined together using an inert silicone adhesive (translucent silicon ¦ not black). Base at 30  high with adjustable floor levelers. Furniture grade painted finishes (color TBD according to RAL). Display cases must be sealed (micro-climate capable) with desiccant storage area available under the interior deck (vented properly to allow for passive approach to controlling the Relative Humidity (RH) within the display space, accessible from inside the case by lifting up the deck. Furniture grade painted finish required (all sides) ¦ color TBD according to RAL color chart. Adjustable Glass Shelves: Each display case must include adjustable glass shelf system. Minimum requirement: 4 glass shelves, each approximately 26 deep x 21 wide to include required hanging hardware (shelf supports, cable &/or rods, etc ¦). Must be adjustable and removable., 4, EA; Solicitation and Buy Attachments ***Question Submission: Interested offerors must submit any questions concerning the solicitation at the earliest time possible to enable the Buyer to respond. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered.*** For this solicitation, MICC Fort Lee intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. MICC Fort Lee is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids. All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com.
