The objectives are as follows: a)Tasks and requirements for Legal Assistants to help with document management, collection, review, and modification, and legal analysis required for each of these projects b)A wide range of administrative support services for Administrative Assistants to provide general office support both professional and clerical from simple to complex projects and programs. Legal and Administrative Assistants will help to reduce the existing backlog of work and allow SOL attorneys to focus on providing legal services for all programs, operations, and activities of the Department c)Tasks and requirements for legal expert assistance to aid the Government in examining various legal documents and providing legal advice to Government and office management. Conduct legal research, document management, document review and respond to discovery requests with drafts and/or final opinions and also assist with case preparation and analysis vii.The Period and Place of Performance for the Purchase Orders: a)Period of Performance: The period of performance for the Purchase Orders shall be for one (1) three (3) month base period; one (1), three (3) month option period; and will include FAR 52.217-8 & FAR 52.237-3 to ensure continuity of operations: Period of Performance Base Period (3 months) - 2/1/2017-4/30/2017 Option Period I (3 months) - 5/1/2017-8/31/2017 FAR 52.217-8 (potential 6 months) - 8/1/2017-1/31/2018 b)Place of Performance: The work will be centrally driven out of the SOL headquarters in Washington, DC at 1849 C St NW, Washington, DC 20240; the work is anticipated to be performed throughout the United States (at ¿local locations ¿ as follows). Travel is not anticipated as it is expected the vendor will ensure staffing is local to the locations. In the event ¿local ¿ staffing is not possible for whatever reason, the government reserves the right to not authorize travel and to not place a contractor in that location. (b)The contractor shall notify employees that the prohibitions and restrictions of any internal confidentiality agreements covered by this clause are no longer in effect. (c)The prohibition in paragraph (a) of this clause does not contravene requirements applicable to Standard Form 312, Form 4414, or any other form issued by a Federal department or agency governing the nondisclosure of classified information. (d)(1) In accordance with section 743 of Division E, Title VII, of the Consolidated and Further Continuing Resolution Appropriations Act, 2015 (Pub. L. 113-235), use of funds appropriated (or otherwise made available) under that or any other Act may be prohibited, if the Government determines that the Contractor is not in compliance with the provisions of this clause. (2) The Government may seek any available remedies in the event the Contractor fails to comply with the provisions of this clause.
