- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District requires the removal of vegetation and other debris from the intake of a culvert flowing from Lake Onalaska to French Lake, in La Crosse County, Wisconsin. The culvert provides aerated water. If the culvert intake becomes clogged with vegetation and debris, the water flow is reduced to a trickle. This leads to hypoxic conditions developing in French Lake, resulting in winterkill of fish. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and supplies necessary to ensure the trash rack (culvert intake) is clear enough to allow at least 10 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water to pass through. Historically, this has required no less than four (4) site visits per week. Traditionally this work has been completed using basic landscaping tools (e.g. rake, shovel) or by hand. The contractor will be responsible for on-site performance from 1 April to 30 November. This contract is for a base year, with four (4) options, exercisable annually at the Government's discretion. This solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The appropriate NAICS code is 561730, Landscaping Services. The SBA Size Standard for this NAICS is $7.5 million. No CD's or hard copies will be available. Offerors are responsible for checking the referenced page for any update(s) to the Notice. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror's inability to access the document posted at the referenced website. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense (USACE), the contractor must provide registration information to the System for Award Management (SAM) as required by FAR 4.605. All Offerors must be registered in SAM prior to receiving an award. Registration instructions may be obtained, and online registration may be accomplished, at www.sam.gov.
