SOURCES SOUGHT This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size relative to NACIS 541611. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. (DRAFT) Statement of Work Leadership Quality and Culture Coach QUALIFICATIONS: The contractor shall: Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret the Magnet accreditation requirements and standards. Have a minimum five (5) years recent experience in the role of a Magnet reviewer, or coach in the area of Nursing Excellence. Possess a history of participating in the Magnet writing experience for large Medical Centers. Provide verification of participating with institutions that successfully obtained at least 2 recent Magnet Re-designations. Have the ability to provide recommendations on programs to better prepare Nurse Managers to be high performing managers. Possess the skills to lead Nurse Care Line Executives in transformational and servant leadership. Possess the ability to effectively communicate in a manner to solicit, motivate and evoke the cooperation of the staff to make recommended changes as reported. Meet with selected groups to influence the Magnet culture is in effect, if indicated Possess knowledge of the VHA Nursing Strategic Plan 2014-2020, Blue Print for Excellence and ability to coach staff in accomplishing it. Possess knowledge of the MEDVAMC Nursing Strategic Plan and ability to coach staff. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Contractor shall provide the following services at the MEDVAMC. Review the entire Magnet document and provide feedback on content and recommendations for improvement to ensure that the domains are adequately addressed. Have ongoing meetings with leadership and other identified groups to foster necessary changes as determined, to meet the desired goals. Provide an assessment of the Nurse Manager work group. Provides educational sessions, as indicated, to address the assessed needs. Provide one-on-one sessions, as deemed necessary, to foster nursing excellence. Meet with the Care Line Nurse Executives, at least monthly, to assess their performance needs and arrange sessions as indicated by the Associate Director of Patient Care Services (ADPCS) to facilitate Magnet goals. Coach and consult Leadership in addressing the VHA Strategic Plan for Nursing Excellence. Have ongoing meetings with leadership and other identified groups to foster necessary changes as determined, if indicated. Meet with selected groups to influence the culture of service to increase productivity /employee engagement and Veterans Satisfaction. All interested firms shall provide the following information: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, capability statement, business size, DUNS and GSA contract (if any) pursuant to the NAICS code 541611. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to Darnell.Rias@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses shall be received in writing no later than Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 10a.m. CST. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties shall respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
