- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate a purchase order with a one-year base period of performance and four (4) one-year option periods, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Stratasys at 7665 Commerce Way, Eden Prairie, MN 55344-2001 to provide maintenance and repair service to one Connex 500 3D printer. Stratasys is the manufacturer and sole provider of maintenance, repair parts, and software updates for the Connex 500 3D printer. As such, there are no third party providers for the repair and maintenance services to be procured. The NAICS Code is 541990 with a size standard of $15.0 million. No solicitation package will be issued to any firm other than Stratasys. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, responses received by the response date and time will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
