- SOLICITATION W911XK-17-T-0008 CLINTON RIVER TREE CUTTING SITE VISIT MEETING LOCATION WORK SITE AND LOCATION PLANS JANUARY 24, 2017 - REQUEST FOR PRICE QUOTATIONS The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking price quotations to provide tree cutting services at four sites, under a single contract, in the Clinton River Watershed. One site is located in Rochester Hills, Michigan, and the other three sites are located in Shelby Township, Michigan. Reference the attached WORK SITE AND LOCATION PLANS file for more specific information with respect to the project site locations. As indicated in the Scope of Work section of the attached SOLICITATION, trees are to be either cut to grade or cut above grade, and felled wood is to be left in place for removal or re-use under a future project. As indicated in the SOLICITATION, all work is to be completed by late March 2017. Line items, a Price Schedule, and instructions for submitting offers are included in the SOLICITATION document. Prices are to include all costs for travel, supervision, administration, and compliance with the Corps of Engineers' Health and Safety Manual, EM 385-1-1, for which a link is provided in the SOLICITATION. It is intended that a contract will be awarded to the responsive, responsible contractor who offers the lowest price for the combination of all work items. An organized SITE VISIT is scheduled on FEBRUARY 2, 2017 for the purpose of allowing prospective contractors to physically inspect and determine the characteristics at each of the four project work sites. Participation is not mandatory, but offerors are strongly encouraged to attend the organized site visit. Additional information is provided in the SITE VISIT section of the SOLICITATION. Attention is also directed to the SITE VISIT MEETING LOCATION exhibit that is attached to this announcement. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 113310 Logging. The successful offeror must be registered in the Government's System for Award Management (SAM) prior to and as a condition of the award of any contract. This acquisition is 100% set aside for Small Business. The small business size standard for this NAICS code is 500 employees. Offers are due no later than 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on February 16, 2017. Offers are to be submitted via email to the email addresses indicated in the INSTRUCTIONS TO OFFERORS section of the SOLICITATION document. Questions may be addressed to the Government's Primary Point of Contact as identified below. This announcement is the one and only advertisement for this requirement. Interested parties should read the attached SOLICITATION document and respond via email, as directed and using the forms and format indicated therein.
