Description

Description of Requirement:CABLE TV: Cable television is needed for between 400-500 television sets located throughout the base dormitory areas, base offices, and dining facilities. The CRTC will require a cable TV National Television System Committee (NTSC) Radio Frequency (RF) signal to be located to a demarcation point in the area of the property line at building base main entrance. This NTSC RF signal shall be a flat 10-15 decibel milliWatt (dBm) level. The CRTC requires, at a minimum, the channel line-up to consist of the four major networks (NBC, CBS, ABC, and FOX), a public broadcast service (PBS) channel, one independent satellite channel (TBS, WGN, etc.), news channels (CNN, MSNBC, FOX NEWS, etc.), and sports programming channels such as ESPN and FOX Sports. Cable television to be provided shall be basic and expanded basic only. CCTV: This signal will be used by the CRTC communications for redistribution to the CRTC base CCTV system. The responsibility for maintenance of the CCTV system will fall upon the Alpena CRTC maintenance section. This signal will have three channels available for local programming inserted for CRTC broadcasts for training and information purposes.
