- SOLICITATION CLAUSES AND PROVISIONS BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION (JHS SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE) Brand Name Software Renewal for Systemware Job History System (JHS) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Simplified Acquisition Procedures are being utilized for this requirement. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Brand Name Justification, set-aside for small businesses. The solicitation number is AAR FY17-0051 and this number shall be referenced on all Request for Quotes (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-88. All future information about this acquisition including solicitation amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 511210, Software Publishers and the applicable Clauses and Provisions are attached. Listed below is the name of the software that is to be renewed: Systemware Job History System (JHS) Software Licenses and the period of performance for the software renewal is from date of award for a period twelve (12) months. JHS software is for use on three LPARS at USDA NITC. For a quote to be considered responsive it must include, at a minimum, the following: 1) Product description, unit price for one (1) year, extended price for one (1) year; 2) DUNS Number; 3) solicitation number AAR FY17-0051; 4) Payment terms No physical delivery is expected, electronic delivery information will be provided to successful offeror. The site licenses are supported exclusively by Systemware Inc. and they are the sole provider of the proprietary licenses, technical support and maintenance of the software products. All interested and potential firms must supply their Systemware Authorized Reseller contract number as part of their response and quotation to this notice. All respondents must be registered in SAM.GOV, and current firms must update once a year to maintain active status. Please visit the www.sam.gov website to register and update information. No solicitation exists for this requirement. Interested vendors are required to submit your quotes by the closing date and time identified within this posting. A determination by the government will be made if a competitive procurement is warranted from an authorized reseller who is able to meet the brand name requirements, provide the licenses, and the software maintenance and technical support.
