- SPECIAL NOTICE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), John D. Dingell Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Detroit MI, 48201 is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price order for one year of all upgrades to the Siemens Apogee main server as well as 5 client computers in the medical center, and the preventive maintenance to the Apogee network on a monthly basis throughout the contract year. NAICS Code 561210, size standard $38.5 million. The Government intends, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), to negotiate on a sole source basis with Siemens Industry Inc. (1000 Deerfield Pkwy, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089), for this procurement due to the proprietary software and upgrades which can only be supplied and installed by Siemens Industry Inc. The Contractor shall supply all upgrades to the Siemens Apogee Main Server as well as 5 client computers and associated equipment. The contractor shall also provide preventative maintenance to the Apogee network on a monthly basis throughout the contract year. The network consists of 1 Windows Server, 5 Windows work stations, 1 laptop, 2 FX880 alarm printers, 2 laser jet printers, 66 PCXM controllers, 4 Digital Point Units, 26 Differential Pressure Monitors to include annual calibration, 276 Terminal Equipment Controllers and 2 Quincy Screw Compressors which include total coverage on parts and labor as well as maintenance. In addition, the contractor shall perform retro commissioning of 1/3 of the Air Handling Systems to include all sensors, dampers, valves and switches contained within each control cabinet, for the period of Date of Award through 3/31/2018 in strict accordance with the Statement of work, all schedules, and terms and conditions of the resultant contract. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government.
