SOURCES SOUGHT This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size relative to NACIS 541990. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. (Draft) Magnet Redesignation Statement of Work Background & Objectives The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) is currently seeking a 4th re-designation for MAGNET status: The ANCC is the governing body for submission for such documentation that recognizes health care organization for their work in quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovation in professional nursing practices. The Magnet Recognition Program ® recognizes health care organizations for quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovations in professional nursing practice. Consumers rely on Magnet designation as the ultimate credential for high quality nursing. Developed by ANCC, Magnet is the leading source of successful nursing practices and strategies worldwide. The Magnet Recognition Program ® advances 3 goals within health care organizations: Promote quality in a setting that supports professional practice Identify excellence in the delivery of nursing services to patients/residents Disseminate best practices in nursing services. Scope The contractor shall provide a review of the document submitted for MAGNET re-designation; the contractor shall provide their service that will attract and retain top talent, improve patient care; safety and satisfaction, foster a collaborative culture, advance nursing standards and practice, and grow your business and financial success. Requirements The contractor shall provide an appraisal and documentation review in FY17. The contractor shall conduct an on-site visit for Magnet Team in FY18. Deliverables The contractor shall review the MEDVAMC submitted documents and approve or disapprove the MEDVAMC s request for redesignation. All interested firms shall provide the following information: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, capability statement, business size, DUNS and GSA contract (if any) pursuant to the NAICS code 541990. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to Darnell.Rias@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses shall be received in writing no later than Monday, February 6, 2017 at 10a.m. CST. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties shall respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
