- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses interested and capable of performing the work. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax, and email (e) DUNS number (f) Cage Code (g) Tax ID Number (h) Type of small business, e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, SBA Certified 8(a) Firm, SBA Certified HUBZone Firm, Women Owned Small Business, SBA Certified Small Disadvantaged Business, Small Business, or Other than Small Business, and (i) must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below. Description: The Contractor shall provide all parts, labor, materials and services necessary to preventative maintenance, repair and/or calibrate the immunoanalyzer to manufactures specifications for the Veteran Affairs (VA) New Jersey Health Care System (NJHCS) East Orange Campus described herein. Salient Characteristics: The mini VIDAS can carry out tests simply and quickly, in a self-contained, space-saving unit. Its user-friendly Load & Go concept means your teams can process up to 36 tests an hour. It also offers excellent reliability, with a MBTF (1) of over 1,100 days. Streamline your workflow by optimizing test loading Increase user-friendliness for data entry and reporting patient results Compact solution with integrated computer & printer System robustness (MTBF (1) > 1,100 days) Single dose concept, ready-to-use reagents Automated barcode identification Just Load & Go Two independent 6-test sections Processing of different parameters simultaneously Packaging suite to different test volumes (30 or 60 tests) 100 parameters available (2) Weight: 40 kg (88 lbs) Voltage: 100-240 VAC Electric Consumption: 1.5-0.8 A Frequency: 50-60 Hz Power: 150 Watts * SPR: Solid Phase Receptacle (1) MTBF = Mean Time Between Failure (2) Pending list of assay registered in a specific country The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334516 (size standard to be considered small business is 1,000 employees). Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM located on the web at www.sam.gov). It is desirable that any Offeror to have completed their business Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses who respond to a solicitation on this project must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registry located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov.
