Description

BACKGROUND: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Strategic Acquisition Center Frederick, is providing an invitation to interested parties to participate in an online Industry Day on February 23, 2017 at 12:00pm EST. This event will focus on four (4) specific, VA acquisition opportunities. The four (4) specific, specialty-focused VA acquisition opportunities being highlighted are: Product Effectiveness Measurement Services (PEMS), Functional Review Lessons Learned, and Integration, and: NAICS: 541611 The briefing will include an overview of the Product Effectiveness office and their role within VA. It will also include the following specific information for each requirement: scope of work overview; needed capabilities; and key personnel. The contracting office will review the procurement timeline. The initial submission of questions/comments, the presentation of information/responses, as well as any subsequent submission of feedback/comments from the vendor community is considered an exchange of information for purposed of improving industry s participation in VA s Product Effectiveness FY17 Acquisition requirements. The planned exchange of information seeks to improve the understanding of VA requirements and industry capabilities, thereby allowing potential interested parties to determine whether or how they can satisfy the VA s requirements, and enhance VA s ability to obtain quality services, at reasonable prices. Additionally, the planned exchange with industry seeks to increase efficiency in proposal preparation, evaluation, negotiation, and award. A four (4) hour agenda is planned as follows: Product Effectiveness Measurement Services (PEMS) Scope of Work Overview Needed Capabilities Key Personnel Functional Review (FR) Scope of Work Overview Needed Capabilities Key Personnel Lessons Learned (LL) Scope of Work Overview Needed Capabilities Key Personnel Integration (IE) Scope of Work Overview Needed Capabilities Key Personnel General Information Requirements for RFI/Timeline for Procurement Questions/Answers (Clarifications only) Industry Day questions/comments pertaining to VA s Product Effectiveness FY17 acquisition requirements are welcome and must be submitted at the time of registration. EVENT INFORMATION: DATE: Thursday, February 23, 2017 TIME: 12:00pm EST LOCATION: Online (log-in and access information will be sent to POC after company registration and submission of questions/comments, if any). REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS: Each company is authorized to register for ONE Adobe Connect line (there are no prohibitions on how you utilize your connection; i.e. multiple participants in a single conference room). Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be limited to the first twenty (20) vendors. Registration closes at 12:00 noon EST on February 21, 2017.
