- SCOPE OF WORK (SOW) New (replacement) Roll-Up door for the Energy Plant 1. Contract Title NEW Replacement Roll-up Door for the New Mexico VAHCS Energy Plant 3. Background The existing overhead door is in need of a replacement (like for like). The inner and outer door does not open effectively to move large equipment in and out of. There is not another option for access. The opening of the door frame for the roll up door is adequate for all equipment associated to the chiller project. However without the full function of this door as designed we cannot safely and or effectively move the large equipment in and out of the plant. This also effects the security requirements for plant operations and the current chiller R/R project. 4. Scope The Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, parts, and installation for a new, overhead door system at the energy plant facility (building 43). This is a one-time sales and installation contract. During the in-force warranty period, the contractor will provide any required replacements or repairs at no cost to our facility. The Contractor shall obtain three (3) manufacturer service, installation, and operation manuals (O&M Manuals) for the installed system. The O&M Manuals shall be turned in to the Contracting Officer (CO) for distribution to the appropriate service chief and COR. 5. Equipment and Parts to be supplied 1ea. 625 replacement curtain (the new Outside door) 1ea. Helixical pipe and barrel replacement assembly 2ea. 1/4'' p-coat guides 1ea. shroud cover 1pr. 1/4'' head-plates, bearings, and charge wheel 1ea. RSX Right hand 1/2hp motor w/ emergency chain hoist, brake, and mounting plates 1ea. RSX Left hand 1/2hp motor w/ emergency chain hoist, brake, and mounting plates 1ea. Interior security grille replacement (the new Inside door) 2ea. Angle guides 1ea. Service and repair labor (taxable) 1ea. Any Rental Equipment Needed 6. Specific Tasks Remove / Dis-assemble the existing overhead door system. Prepare the required support areas to accept the NEW door operator. Mount and assemble the new operator. Make the necessary electrical hookups / connections. Configure any wall mounted door button operating devices (switches, etc.) Test and make final adjustments. Warranty Warranty on all equipment and installation is one (1) Year from the date of installation completion and accepted by the V. Performance Monitoring Performance of this contract will be monitored by COR, or their representative. Completed work will be inspected and completion of job approved by the COR or Engineering Service Representative. Security Requirements The C&A requirements do not apply, and that a Security Accreditation Package is not required The contractor will need to have access to grounds around the VA Hospital. All employees will be required to obtain a badge (obtain from the VA Police) and be worn at all times while working on VA Hospital grounds. 10. Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE)/Government-Furnished Information (GFI). NONE 11. Other Pertinent Information or Special Considerations. a. Identification of Possible Follow-on Work. Possible after Installation adjustments needed to fine-tune door limits, etc. b. Identification of Potential Conflicts of Interest (COI) No conflicts foreseen c. Identification of Non-Disclosure Requirements Contractor will not be working with sensitive or proprietary information d. Packaging, Packing and Shipping Instructions NONE e. Inspection and Guidance Criteria COR or their Engineering representative will inspect the work during performance of task and after completion to insure the contracted work was completed as described. 12. Risk Control Contractor shall maintain a safe work area free from slipping, tripping and falling hazards. All equipment used by contractor shall be in safe operating condition. 13. Place of Performance Work to be performed at the Energy Plant located at the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center, 1501 San Pedro Drive SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. 14. Estimated Period of Performance. Within 30 days of Order 15. Site Visit will be coordinated with all interested parties during Solicitation phase to ensure proper size door is quoted and electrical requirements are understood.
