- The overall purpose of this SOW is to obtain and install Clinical Laboratory Reagent Water (CLRW) Systems at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) for the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service 4th floor D&T building at 2400 Canal St., New Orleans, LA 70119. These systems are necessary to produce Clinical Laboratory Grade Water which is used to prepare reagents, clean instrument parts, dilution of patient samples, prepare instrument cleaning solutions and provide water for tissue sample processing. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS Clinical Laboratory Reagent Water System QTY - 6 Specific/Salient Characteristics: The unit shall operate on routine tap water as the feed source. The unit shall operate on 110 VAC, 60 Hz electrical power. The unit shall be able to be placed on a counter top The unit shall not exceed 28 inches high by 28 inches wide by 20 inches deep The unit shall weigh less than 75 pounds. The unit shall produce Clinical Laboratory Reagent Water with the following characteristics: Resistance: 10 M /cm Bacteria: 1CFU/mL Particulate size: 0.22 µm The unit shall be able to provide >20liters of Clinical Laboratory Reagent Water per hour The unit hall have an on-board storage capacity of > 25 liters. The unit shall be fitted with a manual dispensing system. The unit shall have a pre-filters carbon/particulates. Routine daily maintenance shall be less than 5 minutes. Monthly maintenance shall be less than 10 minutes. Periodic maintenance (i.e.: bio-monthly/quarterly) shall be less than 20 minutes.
