- SOLICITATION # HSCGG1-17-S-LIFTSTASECLIS REPAIR PAVEMENT AND LIFT STATION, SECTOR LONG ISLAND SOUND (New London County) SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS ONLY A MARKET SURVEY FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUCEMENT. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone Small Business concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB), 8(a) certified Small Business concerns, Woman-Owned Small Business concerns or Small Business concerns, or solicit Unrestricted. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237110 Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction, with a small business size standard of $36.5 Million. The estimated value of the procurement is between $1,000,000 and $1,500,000 inclusive of options. Performance and Payment bonds will be required. The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking Interested Vendors with successful past performance, current relevant experience, personnel/resources, equipment, and capability to perform the following work: General: Removal and replacement of Sewage Lift Station components, reconstruction of asphalt and concrete, water main replacement, sanitary sewer line work, and optional work for the removal and replacement of existing cast iron sanitary sewer with PVC as described below for the United States Coast Guard at Sector Long Island Sound. The base work includes the following items and incidental related work: Sewage Lift Station work including the following: Inspection of existing Sewage Lift Station wet well structure for determination of structure condition and whether it should be replaced; Removal and replacement of Sewage Lift Station components including valve vault, submersible pumps, piping, level sensing instrumentation, controls and appurtenances; Reconstruct asphalt pavement, remove and replace curbing, replace concrete pads, and replace concrete sidewalks for the Work Yard parking lot area; Remove sections of curbing, mechanically clean and seal cracks in the pavement surface, seal the entire parking lot, and re-stripe the parking lot; Remove and replace ~725 sf of concrete sidewalks located at the Air Compressor Building; Remove and replace sections of the concrete boat ramp and remove curbing to widen the top of the ramp; and Removal and replacement of ~155 lf of existing 8" cast iron water main with new 8 inch poly vinyl chloride (PVC) water main. Work includes removal and replacement of one (1) hydrant lateral assembly. Sewer utility line work including the following: Removal and replacement of ~90 lf of existing 8" cast iron sanitary lateral with new 8" PVC sanitary lateral from Boat Maintenance Building to sanitary manhole (SMH) 6; CCTV ~160 lf of existing 8" cast iron sanitary sewer between SMH 7 and SMH 6; CCTV ~125 lf of existing 6" cast iron sanitary sewer between SMH 8 and SMH 7; CCTV ~35 lf of existing 6" cast iron sanitary lateral from Station Building; Repave and restore to improve drainage located at the Solid Fill Wharf. Optional work includes the following: Removal and replacement of Sewage Lift Station wet well structure; Removal and replacement of existing 6" and 8" cast iron sanitary sewer with PVC; and Removal and replacement of existing 4" galvanized steel above grade and below grade piping with PVC restrained joint force main piping. Your response is required no later than 14 February 2017. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on an applicable set-aside.
