Description

DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS DESIRES TO LEASE SPACE This amendment to the previously posted Request for Lease Proposals (RLP) # VA248-16-R-0798 in order to publish updated annexes to the RLP and make changes to the RLP itself as follows: Section 1.02, Amount and type of Space, Lease Term, and Occupancy Date (Warehouse)  Paragraph A, DELETED 1st sentence and ADDED the following new 1st sentence: The Government seeks 7,400 net usable square feet of contiguous space on a single floor in an air conditioned warehouse type building.  Section 1.05, List of RLP Documents (Warehouse)  REVISED No. of Pages for Agency s Special Requirements from 5 to 7. REVISED Document Name from Security Requirements for Level to read Security Requirements 12-22-16. REVISED No. of Pages for Security Requirements from 5 to 4.  Section 3.07, Tenant Improvements Included in Offer  Paragraph B, ADDED the following to the end of paragraph: The Offeror shall submit a cost proposal for Tenant Improvements for review by the Government.   The cost proposal shall provide an itemized cost breakdown meeting the following requirements: (1) Material quantities and unit costs; (2) Labor costs (identified with specific item or material to be placed or operation to be performed; (3) Construction Equipment costs; (4) Worker's compensation and public liability insurance; (5) Overhead; (6) Profit; and (7) Employment taxes under FICA and FUTA.  Section 5, Additional Terms and Conditions Paragraph 1:    DELETED paragraph in its entirety.   This is a duplicate of information included in Exhibit B, Agency s Special Requirements, referenced in RLP section 1.05, List of RLP Documents (Warehouse). DELETED Attachment B, Agency s Special Requirements, dated 3-28-16, and ADD attached Attachment B, Agency s Special Requirements 12-22-16. DELETE Attachment C, Security Requirements, and ADD attached Attachment C, Security Requirements 12-22-16. The due date has been extended; therefore, interested offerors (owners, brokers, or their legal representatives) should submit site specific information concerning their properties to Javier Correa-Ochoa by e-mail only no later than 3:00 PM on February 27, 2017 at the following: Attention: Javier Correa-Ochoa, Contracting Officer E-mail: javier.correaochoa@va.gov The Government is limited by law (40 USC 278a, as Amended 10-1-81) to pay no more than the appraised fair rental value for space. Please note: RESPONDENTS ARE ADVISED THAT THE VA ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY TO AWARD A LEASE BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS ADVERTISEMENT
