Description

Notice of Intent (NOI) to Sole Source Date: February 7, 2017 The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with Optiv Federal, Inc.; 6855 Deerpath Road; Elkridge, MD 21075-6236 for Vormetric Cloud Encryption Gateway (VCEG) subscription licenses for the Enterprise Encryption Key Management (EEKM) solution to secure data on AWS servers and host-attached storage. This subscription is a licensed feature of the Vormetric Data Security Management encryption product and leverages the Agency's existing EEKM infrastructure for centralized key management and encryption. The authority for this acquisition is set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) "Soliciting from a Single Source." Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. This is not a request for quotation, and the Government does not intend to pay for information received. A determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All questions and submissions in response to this notice must be submitted electronically via email to Stephanie.L.Harrison@ssa.gov by 12:00pm EST, Thursday February 9, 2017. No telephone calls regarding this matter will be accepted or returned.
