- THIS IS A SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a Request for Proposal. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This is strictly market research to determine availability and adequacy of potential sources with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for information received as a result of this announcement. Request for solicitation will not receive a response. The General Services Administration (GSA), Great Lakes Region (Region 5), has a verified need to repair and restore the middle and upper roof parapets of this limestone historic building at the Charles A. Halleck Federal Building, 230 North 4 th Street, Lafayette, Indiana. This is an historic building. The contractor would be responsible for providing the labor, supervision, equipment, and material necessary to perform the following but not limited to work; repair and restore the conditions of the roof by utilizing historic building techniques for tuck pointing and restorative work such as removing and replacing a portion of the middle roof parapet to eliminate water infiltration in the exterior wall and middle roof. The construction cost is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The performance period is 150 calendar days. The anticipated award date is before May 1, 2017. The NAICS code is 238160 with a small business size standard of $15 million. No other information is available at this time. If you are an interested party, please provide the following information. All information submitted will be subject to verification and additional information may be requested to substantiate responses: A short statement regarding your business’ expertise and experience on projects similar in scope and size. Are you a small or large business? If small business, indicate any and all applicable small business representation(s) (8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, Women-Owned, etc.) Do you have bonding capability to cover 100% of the construction cost? Include three projects completed within the last five years similar in size and scope to the work described above. Provide a customer point of contact for each project listed (telephone and email address) Do you have experience working in a historic building for similar size and scope described above? If yes, please explain and provide a customer point of contact (telephone and email address) Indicate your intent to bid on a subsequent solicitation. Interested firms should submit the above information to the Contracting Officer and Contract Specialist at the email address provided in the point of contact section of the announcement. An electronic submission is preferred. Your submission should be no longer than 10 pages. Responses are due by 12:00PM CST on February 15, 2017.
