Description: Reps & Certs SYNOPSIS: GLOBUS MEDICAL TLIF SPINAL IMPLANT SYSTEM This synopsis is issued in accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(1) and FAR 5.207. This proposed action is for the procurement of Globus RISE SPACER Spinal implant systems. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This proposed procurement will be a sole source award under North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 339113: Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing. Business size standard for NAICS 339113 is 500 employees. PSC code: 6515 - Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment and Supplies. Delivery Schedule: 15 February 2017 Delivery Destination: Medical Materiel Bldg 830 Area A 4881 Sugar Maple Dr. Wright Patterson AFB, OH 45433 Requirement: There is a need for the RISE TLIF SPACER, 10x26x8-15MM 10 DEGREE with a quantity of 6 for the TLIF surgery on 15 February 2017. The proposed source is Globus Medical which is located at 2560 General Armistead Ave Audubon, PA 19403-5214. This procurement will not be competed because the aforementioned GLOBUS implant and planting system is currently the only implant system that the surgeon is trained to use for this procedure. The Government will award a contract to the responsible Offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Technical Capability and Price will be used to evaluate all offers. The Department of Defense (DoD) has determined the System for Award Management (SAM) to be the single point of DoD registration for contractors who conduct business or who are interested in conducting business with the government. SOLICITATION This solicitation is expected to result in the award of a firm-fixed-price contract for the Globus Medical System as described under the requirements section of this solicitation and accompanying requirements attachment. This solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. An award, if any, will be made to the responsible Offeror who submits a proposal that: 1. Conforms to the requirements of the solicitation. 2. Receives a rating of "Acceptable" on the Technical Capability evaluation factor. 3. Contains the lowest total evaluated price (TEP), provided that the TEP is not unbalanced and is fair and reasonable. These unknown items will be priced in the future, but are also covered in the scope of this purchase order. The anticipated award is Firm-Fixed Price-Best Value.
