Description
Questions and Answers to Pre-Solicitation Synopsis for Solicitation N6883617-T-0091 The purpose of this amendment Two (2) is to address questions and answers to the Pre-Solicitation Synopsis for Solicitation N6883617-T-0091, and to extend the closing date of the Pre-Solicitation Synopsis to February 14, 2017. Q1: Is there an incumbent? If so, please provide the name, and contract number. A1: Yes. American Safety Movers, Inc. N68836-14-D-0001. Q2. Is there a union associated with this contract? A1: No Q3: Will the Government provide a secure storage location? A3: No, the facility for handling these shipments for reshipment or storage must be provided by contractor. Q4: What is the average length of time stored? A4: The majority (90 percent) of these shipments are in transiting Blount/Jacksonville destined outside of the performance area. Those shipments may incur some storage, but no more than 1 or 2 days. The activity works not to incur storage charges for those shipments. The remaining shipments to remain and be delivered within the area of performance are in storage an average of 60 days. Q5: Based on historical data, can the Government provide the average tonnage moved monthly? A4: The average estimate tonnage moved monthly is 89,000 pounds Q6: Who provides the materials (lumber) required to build containers? A6: The contractors shall provide the materials required to build containers. The building of a container may only be required when Complete services Outbound are necessary. Q7: Is this a complete new requirement. A7: This is a follow-on requirement.
