Description
Date: 09 February 2017 The Department of Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Pacific (SSC Pacific), intends to issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) No. N66001-17-T-0118 for the procurement of supplies for the Guam-wide Optical Transport System (OTS) network with Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) as the OTS solution. Currently, Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station Guam (NCTS Guam) provides on-island transport across the entire island of Guam through a Synchronous Optical Networking (SONET) network. The current SONET network has reached its capacity across several of its rings. In order to support anticipated growth in future transport capacity, including the Marine Corps Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC) requirements, new Optical Transport Systems (OTS) will need to be installed to upgrade and enhance the current SONET network. This requirement is for the procurement and delivery of the required equipment/material needed to support the capabilities to accomplish the OTS upgrades. The anticipated action will be a firm-fixed-price purchase order and will be awarded in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Simplified Acquisition Procedures along with FAR Part 13.5, Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. This requirement will be issued as a Total Small Business Set Aside in accordance with FAR 52.219-6. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334112 and the business size standard in number of employees is 1,250. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be released on or around 22 February 2017. The solicitation will only be available electronically. Electronic copies of the RFQ may be obtained from the SPAWAR E-Commerce website at https://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil under SSC Pacific "Open Solicitations." The point of contact for this announcement is Christina Neto at e-mail christina.neto@navy.mil. All responding vendors must be registered to the System for Award Management (SAM) website prior to award of contract. Information can be found at https://www.sam.gov/.
