- Description
- Market Survey for Request for Information (RFI) in support of maintaining the SINCGARS waveform. The purpose of this announcement is to: (1) Determine the current full or partial usage of the existing SINCGARS waveform on the DoD Information Repository (IR). Unlike the other existing Government maintained waveforms (SRW, WNW), the SINCGARS waveform was originally a hardware defined capability where vendors had their own interoperable implementations. SINCGARS is currently going through a cryptographic modernization effort and planning is underway to determine if additional modernization efforts to the waveform should be done. The Government is looking for industry feedback on the following: a. If radio vendors have ported, in full or in part, any versions of the SINCGARS waveform in the IR (and which version(s)), or use these versions as reference to update their proprietary SINCGARS waveform. b. If radio vendors would be interested in partnering with the Government to develop a Government Purpose Rights, vendor supported SINCGARS waveform. (2) Vendors interested in providing this information shall provide the information by email to the POC (Gregg Martin, Email:gregg.g.martin.civ@mail.mil) no later than 10:00 AM EST on 24 February 2017. All information submitted shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. All questions and inquiries shall be submitted by email to the POC (Gregg Martin, Email: gregg.g.martin.civ@mail.mil) no later than 10:00 AM EST on 14 February 2017. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes. All information provided within this announcement is subject to change. All questions and submissions regarding these anticipated requirements should be addressed to the Government Point of Contact (POC): Gregg Martin Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Email: gregg.g.martin.civ@mail.mil
