Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order with one Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) source, Clear Vista, LLC. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 339112. The procurement is for Arthrex surgical implant instruments and Clear Vista is an authorized distributor for Arthrex. In addition, Clear Vista is considered a SDVOSB and is registered in VETBIZ. This procurement will be made under the authority of Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by Federal acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-5 and Title 38 U.S.C. 8127 and implemented under VAAR 819.7007. As allowed by 38 U.S.C. 8127, awards to SDVOSBs can be made on a sole source basis. IAW VAAR 819.7007(b), sole source awards to SDVOSB concerns, the contracting officer s determination whether to make a sole source award is a business decision wholly within the discretion of the contracting officer This requirement is for: Eugene Veterans Clinic 3355 Chad Road Eugene, OR 97408 This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. The date of award will be 13 February 2017. Any responses received will only be considered for the purposes of determining the market place for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
