- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source purchase order to TSi Power Corporation, 1103 West Pierce Ave, Antigo, WI. The Federal Aviation Administration Logistics Center (FAALC) has a requirement for tower-mount uninterruptable power supplies (UPS) for the Remote Video Surveillance System “ Upgrade (RVSS-U) in support of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. The FAA intends to purchase 28 each UPS systems for the CBP RVSS-U system. As a result of market analysis (including a formal market survey), TSi Power was the only vendor that could offer a compatible UPS system that would fit in the existing enclosures at the tower sites. No other known vendors manufacture equipment capable of fitting within the existing RVSS-U infrastructure. The proposed NAICs code for this acquisition is 335999, Other Miscellaneous Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
