- Description
- The 28th Contracting Squadron, Ellsworth AFB, SD intends to solicit, compete and award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for School Bus Services. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a Period of Performance beginning on or around 1 July 2017 through 31 December 2021. The acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, FAR Part 13, Simplified Procedures and FAR part 37, Service Contracting. The Request for Proposals (RFP) and all related attachments will be posted in Federal Business Opportunities (FBO), website, http://www.fedbizopps.gov, on or about 10 February 2017. This will be a full and open solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 485410 with a size standard of $15 million. Description of requirement: To provide school bus transportation to local school district students residing on Ellsworth AFB in accordance with the performance work statement that will be attached to the solicitation. This contract will have five (5) line items, one for the base year, three for the option years, and the last being for a six month option. A description of the procedures to be used in awarding the contract are: Request for Proposal with anticipated award date of 1 July 2017. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained within the solicitation package. Once the solicitation is posted, it is imperative that interested parties review the website frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. Contractors submitting a proposal must have a Cage Code and be registered in the System of Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dunn & Bradstreet.
