Description

To assist the Department of Veterans Affairs in our market research we are considering scheduling an industry day. This notice is to a) gauge vendor interest in an industry day, and b) seek input to ensure that our industry day is meaningful. Project Overview: The Central Iowa VA Health Care System is seeking to modernize its clinical communications system. The facility currently uses ASCOM D24 and D62s to enable our nurse call system. We are seeking a technological advanced communication system to replace the existing ASCOMs, internal use flip phones, internal use pagers, and office phones. Our aim is to: Improve employee satisfaction and ease of workflow through an improved communication system; Install a time saving communication system which is integrated, highly capable, and expandable; Provide complete phone coverage (both wireless and desk phone) across campus that integrates seamlessly with facility Wi-Fi and current IT related infrastructure. Procure a product that works in an isolation room type environment (hands free); Allows scalability options to expand the system simply and seamlessly in the future.
