Description

THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOADING UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 28 FEBRUARY 2017. Naval Facilities Engineering Command Atlantic intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Design-Bid-Build, Firm Fixed Price contract for construction of MILCON Project P-621, Communication Station, Naval Station (NAVSTA) Rota, Spain. This will be a full and open competitive procurement. The scope of work consists of the following: The project will construct a multi-story communication center to include administrative spaces, support spaces, equipment/operational spaces, communication maintenance/training spaces, showers, toilets, storage spaces, below grade cable vaults, raised flooring, moveable interior walls, under-floor fire suppression system, access control system, climate direct digital control system (DDC), redundant HVAC systems, rack mounted communications equipment, telephone switches, secure conference room, and uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS). The project also includes construction of a building to house three (3) emergency generators, switchgear and panels. Site work includes parking, service roadways, sidewalks, landscaping, fencing, signage, stormwater systems, water distribution, sanitary sewer, electrical distribution, communications distribution, and demolition of multiple buildings. Interior finishing of secure conference room shall be conducted by a specialized team of U.S. Citizens holding a Secret clearance issued by the U.S. Government. This project is located at NAVSTA Rota, in Spain. Refer to the attached document for further information
