- Demolish, remove and dispose of bituminous concrete pavement, concrete curbs and a landscape island. Remove and dispose of a guard shack and concrete barriers. Remove and dispose of six trees. Dispose of material at a state approved disposal facility. Provide earthwork excavation for new bituminous concrete pavement. Grade and compact sub grade for new pavement. Provide new aggregate base. Provide new bituminous concrete pavement. The new asphalt area shall consist of a bituminous concrete wearing course over a bituminous concrete base course and aggregate base course. The new pavement area is approximately 6200 square feet. Provide new concrete curbs and concrete walls, and a new concrete barrier wall. Provide new security fence. Provide new electro-mechanical pop up security vehicle active wedge barrier system and swing gates. The swing gates shall match the existing ornamental perimeter fence. `Provide new electric control of the barriers and gates from the quarter deck at the front of the admin building during the work day and new electric control from the command center for the remaining 24 hours every day. Provide a new fabricated guard house. Relocate a fire hydrant. Provide new 6-inch water pipe and all materials to connect the relocated fire hydrant to the fire water supply pipe. Provide excavation, bedding and backfill to install new pipe. Place fill material and topsoil, and Seed & mulch. Provide and plant new trees. Provide site electrical work. Work to include: relocating an exterior electric breaker panel, relocating four lightpoles and installing new concrete foundations and relocating the controls for the north gate. New electrical work also includes all new electric power, telecom, controls, etc. for the new guard house, new swing gate, new control arm, new pop-up barriers, new automated pedestrian gate, new intercom system, etc. This includes all required equipment, wiring, conduit, connectors, etc. The procurement estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 Thousand. The NAICS for this project is 238910 with a Small Business Size Standard of $36.5M. At a minimum, the prime contractor will be required to perform 25 percent of the cost of the contract with its own employees (not including cost of materials). Vendors interested in performing this requirement are invited to provide the following information to USCG CEU Cleveland no later than February 21, 2017. Your response shall include the following information and be in sufficient detail for a determination to be made regarding the type of set-aside for this procurement: (a) A positive statement of your intent to submit a bid on this solicitation as a prime contractor. (b) A statement identifying your certified small business size status (Small, 8(a), HUBZone, VOSB, SDVOSB, disadvantaged, women-owned) (c) Evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope, to include contract numbers, project titles, dates work performed, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers. (d) Statement that your firm has/has not previously performed work under this NAICS as a prime contractor. (e) Provide evidence of bonding capability to the maximum magnitude on the project to include both single and aggregate totals. (f) State the number and occupations of employees in your firm.
