Draft Drawings #3 Draft Drawings #2 Draft Drawings #1 Panoramic Photos of the site without snow cover The National Park Service will be holding an Industry Day at the Paradise Inn, Mount Rainier National Park regarding the upcoming project to Rehabilitate Paradise Inn Annex and Connection Snow Bridge. Date/Time: Tuesday, March 7, 2017 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Location: Paradise Inn Annex, Mount Rainier National Park, Ashford Washington Purpose: Provide an opportunity for all interested contractors and subcontractors to tour the building prior to release of the solicitation documents. NPS personnel will be on site to facilitate tours of the Annex. Please be advised that the building will be open and lights on but there will be no heat in the Annex. Entry into the Annex will be through the Snowbridge. Dress appropriately for the weather. Per Park restrictions, chains must be carried in every vehicle. Draft solicitation documents and 3D Panoramic images of the site are included with this notice. Please direct all questions, comments, and concerns regarding the draft documents in writing to sharon_miner@nps.gov. RSVP to the Industry Day is requested by March 1 via email to sharon_miner@nps.gov. Project Details: Rehabilitate Paradise Inn Annex and Connection Snow Bridge (MORA 152787) NAICS Code: 236220 Estimated Cost Range: over $10,000,000 Estimated Period of Performance: 7/2017-3/2019 (Anticipated Award 6/2017) This project will complete the life, safety, and seismic rehabilitation of the Annex and Snowbridge at the Paradise Inn/Annex National Historic Landmark complex. This includes the replacement of the existing stone rubble foundation with a reinforced concrete foundation with stone veneer cut from stone rubble; a storm drain and ground water diversion system to divert groundwater/surface storm water away from the building; and water main to building replacement. The scope includes seismic building improvements to include installation of shear walls and plywood diaphragms; installation of acoustic materials, abatement of hazardous materials, building repair to include damaged structure and connections from water infiltration; code compliant plumbing and electrical system upgrades; fire suppression system including interior upgrades to comply with fire and life/safety codes; replacement/repair of all windows, residing, reroofing, installation of interior finishes, repair/installation of historic molding. The scope also includes the removal, storage and reinstallation of all Annex furniture. This is not a request for proposal or invitation to bid. There is no bid package, solicitation, specification or drawings available with this announcement.
