- Sources Sought Document Preventative Maintenance Service for S-4700 Hitachi (II) Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM) The contractor shall provide one (1) base year and two (2) option years of preventive maintenance plan for Hitachi S-4700(II) Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM), which has two (2) preventive maintenance visits per year and covers all emergency and routine repairs and replacement of consumable parts both included and excluded from equipment maintenance agreement. The contractor shall meet the following: B.3 Requirement B.3.1 Period of Coverage The Contractor shall provide OEM authorized service for twelve (12) months for the base year and options years. B.3.2 Equipment Covered The Contractor shall provide routine maintenance on the Hitachi S-4700 FESEM and ancillary equipment comprised of the following list: S-4700-II FE-SEM, serial number 6048-05 YAG BSE Detecting Device CD Measurement Unit S-4700 B.3.3 Operation Status Requirement The Contractor shall provide service included in their Option 1 plan described in the HITACHI HIGH TECHNOLOGIES AMERICA, INC. STANDARD SERVICE AGREEMENT SCANNING / TRANSMISSION / FOCUSED ION BEAM ELECTRON MICROSCOPE. B.3.4 Telephone Support The contractor shall provide unlimited telephone support during normal business hours. B.3.5 Preventative Maintenance Visits The Contractor shall provide up to two (2) Preventive Maintenance (PM) service visits per year. B.3.6 The contractor shall provide an onsite repair visit for any field-serviceable products and factory-serviceable products for which a field service upgrade has been purchased with a targeted response time of less than 48 hours. B.3.7 The contractor shall provide telephone scheduling for routine preventative maintenance. B.3.8 The contractor shall provide priority service for any covered product in need of emergency repair with a targeted response time of less than 48 hours. B.3.9 The contractor shall provide emergency service for field-serviceable products free-of-charge. B.3.10 The contractor shall provide all replacement parts except consumables free-of-charge. The FEG source is covered under this Agreement and will be replaced upon failure. All other system consumables are excluded from coverage. B.3.11 The contractor shall provide service during normal business hours, 8:00 A.M. through 5:00 P.M. excluding weekends and Federal holidays. B.3.12 The contractor shall be available for the initiation of service requests 24 hours a day by telephone. The contractor shall also be available by email for the initiation of service requests. The contractor shall respond within one business day to initiate resolution of the problem with a targeted response time of less than 48 hours. B.3.13 The contractor shall provide calibration services for all covered equipment. B.3.14 The contractor shall provide unlimited On-site Emergency Service at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. B.3.15 The contractor shall adhere to U.S. Army Aberdeen Proving Ground and U.S. Army Research Laboratory facilities access requirements. APG-ADL-B.5152.206-4400 INTENT TO SOLICIT ONLY ONE SOURCE (FEB 2015) The proposed contract action is for supplies and/or services for which the Government is soliciting and negotiating with only one source under the authority of [FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i]. The name of the company the Government intends to award a contract to Hitachi High Technologies America, Inc Electron Microscope Engineering Division 1375 N. 28th Avenue Dallas TX 75261-2208 This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received prior to the closing date and time of this solicitation.
