- Description
- This Notice DOES NOT constitute a request for a quote, or proposal for the procurement of products or services. The Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Enterprise Procurement Initiatives (EPI), Senior Procurement Executive (SPE) of the Department of Education (ED), intends to host a Government/Industry Roundtable event on Wednesday, March 8th, from 10 am to noon, focusing on best practices in the procurement field. This roundtable will bring EPI, SPE, and industry procurement leaders together to discuss key issues, topics, concerns and foster better collaboration regarding the procurement process. The main topic for this event is Acquisition Innovation. This includes innovative contracting procedures, services, and products that are or could be used by the Federal Government to improve acquisitions and delivery of goods and services to the public. Guiding topics of discussion for the roundtable include: 1. What is Acquisition Innovation? (It might mean different things to different stakeholders) 2. What are smarter buying practices? What are some of the benefits and challenges to innovation? 3. What are some representative examples of innovative contracting? This roundtable event has very limited space, so we will be accepting only the first 20 companies who register. Each company may have two people attend: one to sit at the roundtable, and the other to sit as proxy in the audience. Future roundtables focused around other topics will be offered quarterly. To register, please go to this website and fill out all reguired information: http://www.cvent.com/d/bvqhm9 When registering, please provide the contact information for both people who will be attending.
