- Single Source Solicitation DTFAAC-147-R-01498 will be issued to Flightsafety International for a Base year and two 1 year Option Year Periods, if exercised. This is a follow-up to Market Notice/Public Announcement issued on 02/02/2017. This requirement is for Gulfstream G280 Pilot Training for Flight Standards Operations Inspectors and Aircraft Certification Pilots employed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In accordance with the Flight Standards training requirements established by FAA policy and AFS-500, all training for FAA Inspectors should be obtained within an approved training program approved and monitored the Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 121, 135, 141, or 142 as appropriate. A check of the AFS-205 FAA National Simulator Program website list of qualified simulators and flight training devices shows the only operator with an "active" Level "D" G280 simulator is Flightsafty International.
