- The Army Contracting Command, Warren, Michigan, is seeking sources capable of providing 9146 waste containers for the Red River Army Depot. Contractor shall provide new empty containers specified in the attachment and all personnel, equipment, tools, transportation, and any other items necessary to perform delivery of empty Department of Transportation (DOT) approved containers to Red River Army Depot (RRAD). All containers delivered under this contract must be new containers that conform to DOT specifications found in the 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). Containers must be performance-oriented and must meet the testing requirements of 49 CFR 178. All containers must be embossed with a UN symbol that indicates that the container was manufactured according to the United Nations Recommendations. REQUESTED CONTAINERS A. Metal, 55-gallon capacity, NEW non-removable head (closed top), known as a UN 1A1 container. Rust Inhibitor Lined. Steel Gauge 1.2 Top/1.2 Body/1.2 Bottom. Minimum rating of 1A1/Y1.8/300. B. Metal, 55-gallon capacity, NEW removable head (open top) drum, known as a UN 1A2 container. Modified Phenolic Red Brown Lining. Ring Top 15/16 Bolt. Steel Gauge 1.5 Top/1.2 Body/1.2 Bottom. Minimum rating of 1A2/Y1.5/400/S - 1A2/Y1.5/150. C. Polyurethane, 55-gallon capacity, NEW non-removable head drum (closed top), known as a UN 1H1 container. Minimum rating of 1H1/Y1.9/150. D. Polyurethane, 55-gallon capacity, NEW removable head drum (open top), known as a UN 1H2 container. Minimum rating of 1H2/Y130/S. E. Polyurethane, 20-gallon NEW removable head Overpack drum, known as a UN 1H2 container. Minimum rating of 1H2/X75/S. F.
