Description
Tooele Army Depot (TEAD) has a requirement for a Robotic Weld Cell system. The system will consist of (1) 6-axis robot mounted to a pedestal frame, two work stations with modular headstock and tailstock with a 1,000-lb minimum payload capacity set for a tool length of up to 5-ft. (2) weld power supplies, a modular fence enclosure with light curtains, pedestal mounted controls, two fixtures one to weld mercury containers and one to weld CIDAS frames, and all other equipment necessary to make the system fully functional and safe and efficient. The system shall be capable of both MIG (metal inert gas) and CMT (cold metal transfer) welding. The contractor is responsible for delivery and installation of the equipment to the Tooele Army Depot, designed and manufactured in accordance with the Government Purchase Description. The contractor shall provide instruction in proper operation and maintenance of the equipment. The contractor is solely responsible for providing all labor, materials, hardware, tools, and equipment necessary for complete installation of this system. This notice neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. It should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Responses to this Sources Sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Additional information will be provided upon the release of the Solicitation. Responses must include the following: 1) Company name and address 2) Business size classification (Small, Small Disadvantaged (SDB), 8(a), Woman-owned Small Business (WOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SD-VOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone(HUBZone) small businesses including the number of employees and the number of years in business. 3) Interested offerors shall provide a summary of their capabilities and past performance experience on similar efforts to LaMark Combs at lamark.j.combs.civ@mail.mil AND Vicki Ahlgrim at vicki.l.ahlgrim.civ@mail.mil.
