- Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has a requirement to procure ten (10) Blade Angle Tools, that provide up to 6500 pounds of torque with 25 pounds of input and are used in maintenance of KC-130J aircraft for the US Navy. The required items that need to be procured are going to eliminate the need for angle gauges and protractors, providing the most accurate and efficient way to achieve torque plus angle tightening sequences required for the KC-130J. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority for FAR 6.302-1- -Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received by Thursday, 23 February 2017. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 332216.
