- CANCELLATION NOTICE: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number is 0010983088 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-95. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 2005-95 with a small business size standard of $36.50M. This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2017-02-16 16:30:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com. FOB Destination shall be CAMP SHELBY, MS 39407 The MICC Fort Rucker requires the following items, Purchase Description Determined by Line Item, to the following: LI 001: B3508: 13 data cables, 3 voice cables - 1 EA - IAW STATEMENT OF WORK - PURPOSE: To upgrade the existing work and voice infrastructure to accommodate the future expansion of the First Army Academy (FAA) and standardize the installation and equipment with the rest of the 177th Armored Brigade. Upgrading and improving the network and telephonic infrastructure will enable the students and faculty of the FAA to leverage the network to facilitate their training. BACKGROUND: The FAA has just recently come under the 177th AR BDE for support purposes and the buildings that the FAA operate out of need significant infrastructure upgrades to be able to fully accomplish its mission. JUSTIFICATION: The FAA is continually innovating their classroom training environment and to continually print out paper copies of the training material is wasteful. In addition the dynamic nature of the curriculum has evolved to leverage web-based training effectively. In order to accomplish this training methodology each student requires their own individual connection. ?ÿ The FAA currently supports 24 cadre personnel and approximately 168 students at a time. DETAILS: a. The FAA requires the following: 1. 13 new telephone cable drops ran, terminated and connected into the base telephone infrastructure. 2. 43 new Category 6 data cable drops ran, terminated, and tested. All drops must be contained and wall mounted with external raceway installed in various different size groups per customer specification. 4. 1x24 port Category 6 patch panels, 4x48 Category 6 patch panels upon which the aforementioned requirements will be terminated to. b. The scope of work in detailed installation data cable and voice for the following buildings: 1. Building 3508: 13 data cables and 3 voice cables, surface mount raceway as requested, plus labor and materials. 2. Building 3526: install 2 voice drops and 1x24 port cat 6 patch panel, surface mount race way as requested, labor and materials. 3. Building 3532: install 1x48 port cat 6 patch panel, 28 x cat 6 data, 2 voice cables, surface mount raceway as requested labor and materials. 4. Building 3533: install 1x48 port cat 6 patch panel, 28 x cat 6 data cables, 2 voice cables, surface mount raceway as requested labor and materials. 5. Building 3534: install 1x48 port cat 6 patch, 28 x cat 6 data cables, 2 voice cables, surface mount raceway as requested labor and materials. 6. Building 3535: install 1x48 port cat 6 patch, 28 x cat 6 data cables, 2 voice cables, surface mount raceway as requested labor and materials. b. The contractor shall be solely responsible for any labor, equipment, tools, freight, delivery and materials. c. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered.*** For this solicitation, MICC Fort Rucker intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. MICC Fort Rucker is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids. All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. There is no cost to register, review procurement data or make a bid on www.FedBid.com.
