Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7 located in Charleston, SC intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced contract to Ronco Specialized Systems, Inc., 595 Sheridan Drive, Tonawanda, NY 14150-7850. Ronco Specialized Systems, Inc. will furnish all labor, material, equipment and transportation necessary to complete turnkey installation of the Rauland-Borg Responder 5 Nurse Call System at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, 109 Bee Street, Charleston, SC 29401-5703. This requirement will be sole sourced due to the fact that Ronco Specialized Systems, Inc. is the only authorized distributor of the Rauland-Borg Responder 5 Nurse Call System for the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. The Responder 5 Nurse Call System is not compatible with any other (non-Rauland) Nurse Call Systems; therefore proprietary in nature. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), soliciting from a single source. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 238210 Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors with a Small Business Size Standard of $15 Million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 3:00 P.M. EST, February 17, 2017 to: steven.bentley@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
