Description
DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY UNITED STATES COAST GUARD ENGINEERING SERVICES DIVISION SPECIFICATIONS FOR REPLACE EMERGENCY GENERATOR U.S. COAST GUARD STATION BARNEGAT LIGHT BARNEGAT LIGHT, NJ Provide 600A, 240/120V, single phase service entrance rated automatic transfer switch and 150KW, 600A, 240/120V, single phase stand by diesel generator and connect as shown on sheets E-01 & E-02 on new concrete pad. The generator shall come complete with an integral 350 gallon minimum, sub-base, double wall diesel fuel tank. The generator and fuel tank housing shall be suited for outdoor use. Use existing breaker #15 for hot start and existing breaker #7 for battery charger (in existing emergency panel "E") and connect to generator terminal block. Prior to connect new 150 kW generator on line, disconnect and remove existing generator, existing automatic transfer switch and their associated wire and conduit. Remove natural gas line up to the door and cap it as shown on sheets E-02. Dispose of 20 KW generator in its entirety according to all federal, state and local regulations as shown on sheet E-02. Full normal electrical power shall remain available to the station at all times during construction. Provide (1) 150 KW, 240/120V, single phase temporary generator to provide power to the station during times of commercial power interruption. Provide all required temporary cables, connections, etc.
