Description
The Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) is contemplating to procure the manufacture of the Line Item cited below for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Sole Source Contract for a total maximum quantity of 123 each of Guide, Stem Valve to support the F100-PW-220 Engine. This item has been identified as a Critical Safety Item by cognizant engineering authority. 1. Item: Valve Stem Guide 6. NSN - 2810-01-532-4701NZ 7. PN - 4088012-01 8. Description: Guide, Stem Valve for the F100-PW-220 Engine 9. History-Last buy July 2014, United Technologies Corporation, Qty: 240, Unit Price: <1,700.00. 9. Total Line Item Quantity: L/I 0001 - 123 Each of 2810-01-532-4701NZ 10. Application (Engine or Aircraft) - F100-PW-220 Engine 11. Destination: FOB Origin: Ship to Code: SW3211; DLA Distribution Depot of Oklahoma; Central Receiving 3301 F Avenue; Building 506 Door 22; Tinker AFB, OK 73145-8000 12. Delivery: Delivery of 14 Units per month beginning June 2018 with final delivery of 11 Units in February of 2019. Early Delivery is Acceptable. 13. AMC Code: 3/C This requirement is for the manufacture of the valve stem guide for the F100 engine program. Sources must be qualified prior to award. To be eligible for contract award, the offeror must be an approved source IAW FAR 52.209-1, Qualification Requirements. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of a SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed as a possible source for future awards. This item is not export controlled. Currently approved sources: United Technologies Corporation, DBA: Pratt Whitney Spare Parts Division. IAW FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency Based upon market research, the Government is not using policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested parties may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from Offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
