Description
TERMS AND CONDITIONS INU TEQ, LLC has a requirement for Aerotronics Throttle Grips. One (1) each 318-T0-1002 F-18C throttle grips, IB/OB, one (1) each 308-TB-1009 F-18C dual arm throttle base/arm ext. with finger lifts afterburner detents, one (1) each 235-10-1004 F-16 rudder assembly, and one (1) each 201-00-1001 pedal adjust t-handle mechanism kit. INU TEQ intends to purchase the items from Aerotronics LLC, located at 210 Jupiter Lakes Boulevard, Jupiter, Florida 33458. Aerotronics LLC is the designer and manufacturer and these throttle grips. The project requirements dictate several factor be met for the controls specified in the purchase request. Throttle: The throttle arm throw must be identical to the real throttle F/A-18 throttle, throttle fit and finish must be representative of real F/A-18 throttle, throttle arm potentiometer must be mil-spec and rated for at least 1 million rotational cycles, throttles must have a USB output, throttles must be made of aluminum, throttle must have finger lifts and afterburner detents that actuate as in the real F/A-18 throttle. Rudder Assembly: The Rudder Pedals must match the characteristics of the real F-16 rudder system in fit, finish and mechanical operation: width of 21", machined aluminum construction, guide rails that operate without binding, potentionmeters that are rated for 2 million cycles, pedal center axis height from floor 4.625",pedal linear forward/aft adjustment min 9.5", pedal linear forward/aft adjustment interval = max 0.5" steps, pull-adjust cable for pedal forward/aft adjustment, yaw force adjustable from 50 to 125 lbs., toe brakes with forces up to 45 lbs., 12 degree deflection,yaw deflection of +/-6 degrees, and USB interface. The selected vendor was the only vendor found that could meet all of the requirements. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:30 p.m. local time on March 19, 2015. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
